The National Chamber of Mediators has implemented several projects over the years to support the development of mediation in Albania.

• The project “Increasing the capacities of DHKN” financed by USAID, period 2013 to 2014. Project which was implemented by the      National Chamber of Mediators in two pilot Courts Korça and Durrës.

• The Twinning Project “Supporting the Development of Alternative Dispute Resolutions in Albania”, financed by the EU, (2015-2017). The project was implemented by the Ministry of Justice, the National Institute for Health and Welfare in Finland, in partnership with the Czech Institute of Probation and Mediation Service.

• Project supported by “Save the Children” in the period 2016-2017, within the framework of the adoption of the code of criminal justice for minors, where an important part is restorative justice for minors and mediation.

• The project “Strengthening the mediation system in Albania” (2019 – 2021), financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway. This project was implemented in partnership between NCM, CSSP – Berlin Center for Integrative Mediation and the Foundation for Conflict Resolution and Dispute Reconciliation.

• The project “Expanding and Strengthening the Mediation System in Albania”, financed by the Austrian Development Agency (December 2021 – January 2025). This project is implemented in partnership between DHKN, CSSP – Berlin Center for Integrative Mediation and the Foundation for Conflict Resolution and Dispute Reconciliation.

• Pilot Initiative “Indicator 7” with the theme “Mechanism of Referral to Mediation in the Court of First Instance General Jurisdiction Durrës”, implemented during 2023.
