The bodies of the National Chamber of Mediators are:
1. General Meeting of Intermediaries
2. Governing Council
3. The President of the Chamber
4. Disciplinary Board
The General Meeting of Mediators consists of all members of the Chamber and is the highest decision-making body of the DHKN. It is chaired by the President of the National Chamber of Mediation.
Currently, the Chamber has 117 members. Following the first exam to be licensed as a mediator, at least 70 new mediators are expected to join the Chamber.
The competences of the General Meeting of Mediators are related to major decision-making for which the voice of all mediators must be heard, such as statutory changes, appointment or dismissal of management bodies, etc. For more information on powers, please see article 7/1 of Law no. 10385/2011 and the Statute of the National Chamber of Intermediaries.
The Governing Council is an Executive Body consisting of the President of the Chamber as well as 6 members elected by the General Meeting of Intermediaries, with a 3-year mandate, with the right to re-election. The Council is the main body that manages and decides on the activities and administrative part of the National Chamber of Mediators. Members of the Governing Council with a 3-year mandate are the following persons:

President of the National Chamber of Mediators
The President is elected from among the members of the General Assembly of the Chamber, by vote, for a 4-year term, with the right to re-election only once. The main role of the chairman is to lead and represent DHKN with local and foreign third parties.
Currently, the position of the chairman is held by Dr. Drita Avdyli, who is also a member of the Governing Council. She was appointed for the first time in this position in 2013 and with great dedication worked together with the members of the Chamber to raise this new profession to the rank of all other free professions and strengthen the capacities of the Chamber, thanks and the continuous support of foreign organizations and different donors. Drita Avdyli
Ms. Avdyli has a very long work experience in the Albanian Public Administration, holding leadership positions in important institutions such as the General Directorate of the Albanian Railways, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of the Interior, Coordinator in the MARRI Regional Organization in Skopje, as well as National Commissioner for Refugees.
She is also engaged in the academic field and holds the rank of Prof. Asst. He participated in the Working Groups for the drafting of the legal package within the framework of the Justice Reform.
She is a licensed mediator and since 2013 she leads the National Chamber of Mediators in the capacity of President.

Disciplinary Board
The Disciplinary Board is the supervisory body of the activity of mediators. It consists of 5 members with a 5-year mandate, where 4 members are elected by the General Meeting of Intermediaries and 1 member is elected by the Minister of Justice. The Disciplinary Board has the duty to ensure and guarantee the parties for an honest, transparent and impartial process, as well as to reflect moral and professional integrity in the examination of cases. It is in this supervisory body of the mediator profession that the Ministry of Justice, as the institution that oversees this profession, is part of the board in order to fulfill the legal obligations according to article 11/1 et seq. of Law no. 10385/2011.
